Laurence G. Allen

Laurence G. Allen, MAI, CFA, RICS has over 40 years of real estate valuation and consulting experience. Since 1973, he has performed more than 3,000 appraisal and consulting assignments for a variety of property types throughout the country.

His experience includes the appraisal and feasibility analysis for a wide variety of commercial, industrial and multi-family property types, for mortgage financing, property tax and litigation.

Mr. Allen has written a number of articles in the Appraisal Journal, Michigan Assessor magazine and Community Management magazine. He wrote a section titled "Estimating Value" for the book How to Find, Buy and Sell Manufactured Home Communities.

Mr. Allen taught courses on real estate appraisal at the University of Michigan and was a guest lecturer on real estate appraisal there and at the Michigan State University School of Business Administration graduate program.

Mr. Allen is a licensed real estate broker and a state-certified real estate appraiser in Michigan, Indiana, Arizona, and Colorado. He holds the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute and the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation with the CFA Institute and was elected a professional member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Mr. Allen received his bachelor's degree with honors from Linfield College and his master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.

Ralph J. Brekan, MAI, Albert Nava MAI, and Laurence G. Allen, MAI have a combined 90 years of experience in the consultation and appraisal of real estate. Assignments include properties throughout the United States and Canada.


Ralph J. Brekan, MAI and Albert Nava MAI have also served on National Committees with the Appraisal Institute, and are both designed members. Further, both  are SGA (Society of Golf Appraisers) members.

Ralph J. Brekan

Ralph J. Brekan, MAI, SGA has over 40 years of real estate valuation and consulting experience. His experience includes the appraisal of commercial, industrial, special purpose, vacant land, residential, and recreational use properties, including numerous country clubs and golf clubs, cash flow and investment analysis, and market and feasibility studies. His experience includes market studies, feasibility studies, consultation and brokerage assignments dating back to the late 1970s. He is qualified as an expert witness in the Federal Bankruptcy Court, State of Texas District Court, and Special Commissioner hearings in Eminent Domain cases and Superior Court in the State of Arizona. He is also qualified as an expert witness in several District Courts in the State of Illinois in Eminent Domain cases.

Mr. Brekan has written a number of articles in “The Drive Newsletter” for The Society of Golf Appraisers. He also wrote an article for Real Estate Forum entitled Market Research Key in Providing Accurate Appraisal, 1987.

Mr. Brekan was a past instructor in Real Estate Appraisal at the Houston Baptist University and Kishwaukee Junior College. He was also a speaker at a Crittenden Golf Conference and several NGCOA/Golf Industry Shows.

Mr. Brekan is a licensed real estate broker and a state-certified real estate appraiser in Arizona, California and Nevada. He holds the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute and the SGA (Society of Golf Appraisers) designation. He is also an AI-GRS Member in the Appraisal Institute as well as a member of the National Association of Realtors.

Mr. Brekan Received a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in real estate and finance, and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Northern Illinois University.

Albert Nava

Albert Nava, MAI, SGA has over 38 years of real estate valuation and consulting experience. His experience includes the appraisal and feasibility analysis for a wide variety of commercial, industrial and multi-family property types, for mortgage financing, property tax and litigation.

Mr. Nava has written a number of articles in the Appraisal Journal, Michigan Assessor magazine and Community Management magazine. He wrote a section titled "Estimating Value" for the book How to Find, Buy and Sell Manufactured Home Communities.

Mr. Nava has taught various seminars for local taxing authorities and internal seminars for the Appraisal Institute.

Mr. Nava is a state-certified real estate appraiser in Arizona, California, and Nevada.  He holds the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute and the SGA (Society of Golf Appraisers) designation.

Mr. Nava received his bachelor's degree from University of Texas at El Paso.
